Message from the Head of BSR

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to The British School Al Rams (BSR). It is a beautiful school in the North of Ras Al Khaimah, nestled at the Hajar Mountains' foot. We opened in September 2018 with just 125 pupils but have already grown to over 300 pupils in less than a year. We are part of the RAK Academy Family of Schools founded in 1974 with Ras Al Khaimah English Speaking School.

We are a small, friendly place of learning based in a caring, close-knit community. Our school prides itself on being a child-centred, happy environment that fosters a love of learning in all our pupils. This is the essence of everything we do and what we all endeavour to achieve every day.

At BSR, we value every school member, including teachers, support staff, parents, and children alike. That collaboration is vital for our pupils to develop into independent learners and critical thinkers.

We follow the National Curriculum for England as a framework, which we then adapt to ensure a conceptual, integrated, and enriched learning experience for our young learners.

We have a healthy balance of lessons taught by class teachers and specialists.  Class teachers teach core subjects (English, Mathematics, and Science) plus Social Studies (History and Geography) and Moral Education. We have a specialist in Arabic, Islamic, and Arabic Social Studies departments, and we have specialist teachers for Physical Education, Music, Art, and Computing.

We aim to produce happy and successful global citizens, ready to take their place in the world.

On behalf of everyone at The British School Al Rams, I would like to invite you to visit our beautiful school and to offer you a warm welcome.
