Field Trips and Special Events

FIELD TRIPS

Field trips are an important part of the School’s programme and are arranged throughout the school year to complement our schemes of work. These may include walks around the local community, as well as full and half-day trips to specific locations. Parents will be informed in advance of any arranged field trips offsite.

From time-to-time, BSR also arranges special visits from artists, authors, illustrators, and musical and theatrical performers. These events are designed to give students a variety of cultural, linguistic, and artistic experiences, as well as to develop the appreciation and skills of being in an audience. Additionally, a class or grade level will give a presentation or performance for parents, such as an assembly and/or mini-exhibition to celebrate their learning.

EVENTS

During the year, we hold a number of special events, commemorations, and celebrations. Some are held within school hours for students and teachers while other major events are held outside school hours to which parents and community members are invited. We also participate in a number of events and competitions outside of school.

A few of the events/competitions are:

· Flag Day

· National Day

· World Book Day

· Emirates Literature Festival
