Inclusive Education

Throughout our family of Schools, we ensure that all students are able to access learning and make progress within an inclusive and supportive environment alongside their peers. Appropriate adjustments are made to the curriculum or learning environment to meet individual needs.
All our students are fully included in a welcoming learning environment with similar-aged peers. Differentiated teaching and learning opportunities are planned to ensure each student can aspire to reach their full potential. 

RAK Academy​ will:

  • Provide a differentiated curriculum appropriate to an individual’s needs and abilities.
  • On entry to school, we will ensure timely effective assessment of students abilities and needs.
  • Find solutions to address barriers to learning, ensuring that Students of Determination fully partake in all activities.
  • Ensure that parents/carers of Students of Determination are kept fully informed of their student’s progress and attainment.
  • Ensure that Students of Determination are as involved as possible, in decisions affecting their future support and provision.
