Message from the Head of School (BSH)

Welcome to British School Al Hamra where we strive to develop and nurture excellence with a community heart. BSH is a thriving and diverse community with big ambitions! We are located in beautiful Ras Al Khaimah on the outskirts of Al Hamra Village, serving both Emirati and expatriate families. We aim to provide the highest standard of provision for all our families through the British Curriculum, celebrating the culture and heritage of the wonderful country that we are located in.

Working together in partnership with parents and carers to meet the needs of our children is at the centre of everything we do. Through regular padlets, workshops, consultations and celebration events, families and staff work hand-in-hand.

Firm in our belief that children come first, we strive to ensure that all children at BSH feel happy and safe.  With our children being the leaders of the future, we actively promote innovation, a growth mindset and teamwork.

Working with a range of partners in education, our high expectations, bespoke curriculum and distinct approach to learning are making a real difference. BSH is a school that thinks globally and acts locally, supporting our community and its unique environment.

Lessons are planned to incorporate our values, impart new knowledge, develop skills and provoke curiosity and creative thinking through thematic approach.  Our enrichment programme incorporates a wide variety of extra-curricular activities to enhance children’s unique skills and interests.

We believe that all our stakeholders play pivotal and equal part in our journey to outstanding, providing a range of experiences that will transform the lives of our children and strengthen the already strong bond within our very special community.  Together, everyone achieves more.
